Several polygalitol derivatives, 4, 6-benzylidene-polygalitol, 2, 3-diacelyl-4, 6-benzylidene-polygalitol and 2, 4-diacetyl-polygalitol which might he useful to the preparation of partial condensation products of polygalitol, have been described.
